Click here to learn more. 50 Years of Milestones : New Publication Marks 50th Anniversary of AJCU In 1970, the (AJCU) was established as the successor to the Commission on Colleges and Universities of the Jesuit Educational Association (JEA), which since 1936 had served as the umbrella organization for both Jesuit secondary and postsecondary education. Fifty years later, AJCU continues to live out its mission to represent Jesuit higher education among its various constituencies; provide a forum for the exchange of information and experiences in Jesuit higher education; and encourage and facilitate collaborative initiatives among its member institutions. In commemoration of AJCU’s 50th anniversary, a new publication has been prepared by the AJCU Leadership Institute (formerly known as the Jesuit Leadership Seminar). 50 Years of Milestones spans the history of AJCU and Jesuit colleges and universities between 1970 and 2020; click here to view it online.
